Darwin Day 2024 – Citizen Science & Biodiversity

Darwin Day promotes scientific communication and critical thinking, highlighting the social importance of scientific discourse. Citizen Science research is becoming increasingly popular, promoting best practices for linking science with social contexts. Citizen science projects provide opportunities for researchers and citizens interested in biodiversity conservation to collaborate in a professional environment, facilitating dialogue between laypeople and experts about relevant regulations. It is essential that legislative, technical, and scientific frameworks include the local communities in discussion and implementation. Guest researchers in ecology and biology are actively involved in creating sustainable, community-based practices.

Organised by hypha_etc in partnership with NECC (Nature Education Community Center) and Milvus Group

co-organizers: tranzit.ro/Cluj and the Department of Biology and Ecology in Hungarian, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj
