Play and Mathematics in Five Days - Second Edition of the Mathematics Camp

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS!

Our experience at various levels of education shows that one of the greatest challenges in acquiring mathematical thinking is often the lack of those cognitive experiences—gained through concrete activities—upon which the abstract language of mathematics can later be built. During our camps, we aim to create these thinking situations for the participating children in a way that is experiential, creative, and based on discovery. In our camp programs, we present mathematics not as a subject but as a realm of joyful activities involving play, creativity, and problem-solving.

This year’s camp focuses on developing geometric thinking, spatial awareness, and imagination. Our activities are organized around themes such as spatial movements, tessellations, visual illusions, and abstract art (Escher, Orosz, Vasarely), incorporating geometric board games, origami, drawing, and various project-based activities.

We warmly welcome all children who have completed 4th or 5th grade and are interested in math and art—and who love to play—regardless of their current academic performance.
