hypha_etc announces its open call for educators seeking a remote space suitable for short-term pedagogical activities. Our goal is to promote experiential learning practices outside of traditional academic boundaries, providing a platform for educational projects that deepen the connection with theoretical ideas and real-world applications, while embracing engagement and inclusivity. We aim to support educators in empowering students to explore and expand their knowledge within a natural environment, fostering a sense of community.
For this purpose, we offer workshop spaces and accommodations for groups of 10-15 people, free of charge for workshops lasting between 2 and 7 days, at our location in Câmpu Cetăţii, Romania. Workshop facilitators and participants will have access to comfortable accommodations, educational and scientific equipment, and a welcoming community space designed for collaborative learning.
LOCATION AND FACILITIES
Located amidst the natural landscape of the Gurghiu Mountains in Mureș County, Romania, our workshop venue offers a peaceful retreat bordering a beech forest. We offer accommodation in 4-6 bedded rooms featuring a private bathroom and a kitchen corner.
The accommodation is located just a few steps away from the community space, characterized by an irregular shape and visible wood structure with glass walls from floor to ceiling. The community space includes a workshop space/lecture hall, community kitchen, dining hall, and library corner.
Participants will have access to various technical and scientific equipment, including a large monitor, video projector, sound system, video camera, and microscopes. Additionally, there are butterfly nets, birdwatching binoculars, as well as an astronomical telescope and a solar telescope available for use with assistance.

The call is open to teachers, educators, researchers, artists, and authors with pedagogical experience, interested in leading workshops centered on research, creative sessions, seminars, or studio practices.
